Age Gate ("we", "our", or "the App") is a Shopify application that helps merchants display an age verification popup on their online store. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

• Shop data: When a merchant installs the App, we collect the Shopify store domain and an OAuth access token to interact with the Shopify Admin API on the merchant's behalf.
• App configuration: Settings you save in the app (minimum age, popup style, colors, text) are stored in Shopify Metaobjects and/or our database.
• Session data: We store session tokens in a secure database to keep merchants authenticated within the App.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or process any personal data from your store's customers. The age verification check happens entirely in the browser and no visitor data is sent to our servers.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate your store and maintain your session.
• To save and retrieve your popup configuration settings.
• To deliver the age verification popup script to your storefront.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. We use MongoDB Atlas (cloud database) to store session and configuration data, subject to their Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

Session and configuration data is retained for as long as your store has the App installed. When you uninstall the App, your data is deleted within 30 days in accordance with Shopify's data deletion requirements.

6. Your Rights
